Garage Door Torsion Spring Replacement

In case the garage door torsion spring is broken, immediate replacement is required. Preventive replacement is needed when the spring is severely worn-out and is at high risk of breaking. In case of door replacement, the whole hardware including this part is replaced.

The process includes the removal of the old part and the installation of a new one. The new part has to have the same design and specifications as the old one. If standard torsion spring is to be installed in the place of the old branded one, conversion is required. It involves the making of different modifications. Once the new spring is installed it has to be properly balanced so that the door does not hit the floor or hang slightly above it. It will require lubrication maintenance.
